We inspect all structural elements of the building – walls, floors, roof structure, supporting pillars, stairs, lintels, retaining walls over 700mm high supporting the home
This will identify the items that should have been addressed by the builder as part of their building contract.
We perform a visual inspection of all wet areas (bathrooms, laundry, kitchen) for general leaks and test the basic operations of the plumbing fixtures.
This is included as standard with all our inspections. We will check the requisite treatments have been conducted during the build.
Our Comprehensive Building and Pest Inspection of a newly built property (not ever occupied) is a mix of a pre-purchase inspection and a Practical Completion Inspection (performed at the end of a build). This inspection exceeds the requirements of AS4349.1 and AS4349.3 and our reporting aligns with the wording of a standard REIWA contract condition.
This inspection is specially tailored for a brand new property where you are purchasing under a real estate purchase transaction.
If you have built the home (and have a contract with the builder) you will need a Practical Completion Inspection.
