Damp will eventually get through the walls of your showers if they are not maintained properly. We refer to this as damp penetration. This may seem innocuous at first but will eventually cause the paint on walls behind to start bubbling, carpets to be damaged or mould start to grow. Many showers share a walls with a contained space such as a wardrobe. The limited airflow in these areas further exacerbates the problems. In this video Andrew gives a few tips and hints to reducing the impact of these issues – and it all comes down to the air flow.
