Combined Structural Maintenance Safety Asbestos Termite Inspection
You wouldn’t buy a car without taking a test drive. Why would you buy property without knowing the full picture?
There are a lot of things to do when buying a new home. From finance to the logistics of a move, it sometimes feels like the list will never end. To save you time we’ve combined five important inspections into one handy package. These combined inspections provide buyers with a complete picture of the pre-purchase state of a property, which can save you time and money.
The structural inspection involves careful review and appraisal of the structural condition of the home. We keep an eye out for things like water damage, sagging ceilings, issues with load-bearing beams, and poor workmanship. Our structural inspections are completed to Australian standards.
Building Maintenance Inspection
All properties age and deteriorate over time but sometimes the workmanship or materials used in the build are substandard and can lead to unexpected repairs. Our building inspector does a thorough site check to determine potential problem areas and the plan for fixing them.
Safety Compliance Inspection
The number one priority is to keep your family safe, which is why a safety inspection is a must.
Our safety inspection includes but is not limited to:
- Residual Current Devices (RCD)
- smoke alarms
- pool fencing.
One in three Australian homes built before 1990 are likely to contain asbestos. If you are purchasing a home built before 1990 it is important to check for asbestos. ProConsult’s basic pre-purchase asbestos inspection includes a thorough visual assessment of the property carried out by our expert team.
Termite Inspection (optional)
Pests like white ants and termites can cause significant and sometimes undetectable damage to the naked eye. ProConsult’s termite inspection identifies timber pest activity, new or old, within the home and perimeter of the property.
Once we’ve completed all of the inspections you’ll receive a detailed report, including photographs and visual aids that fully document the condition of the property. That way you can make an informed decision.
