Mould Growth in Showers

Mould Growth in Showers

Mould thrives in moist environments, making showers an ideal breeding ground. To prevent mould growth in showers, it’s essential to maintain proper ventilation and minimize moisture build-up.  This does not only refer to the the physical water within the shower cubicle, it is also the moisture in the air when the bathroom steams up and then condenses on to the surfaces of the bathroom. Use exhaust fans or open windows to promote air circulation, not just while you are using the shower, but for at least an hour afterwards.  Dry is always best so ensure every last drop of water in the air gets sent packing.

Regular cleaning is also crucial for mould prevention. Be sure to check out our other videos on shower maintenance to find the best ways to keep on top of mould in your showers!

In conclusion, mould growth in showers is a common but manageable issue. By implementing preventative measures and practicing regular cleaning and maintenance, you can significantly reduce the occurrence of mould and ensure a healthy bathroom environment.
